What About Sales Tax?

Members of Parent Booster USA, Inc. (PBUSA) are commonly eligible for sales tax exemption in the state in which they operate.  To obtain sales tax exemption, organizations generally must first be recognized as 501(c)(3) organizations, and then apply to the state for sales tax-exemption.

To determine if your state provides sales tax exemption you may look at your state's tax agency website.  Links to state taxing agencies are available from:

Alternately, members of Parent Booster USA may ask us to research your state's requirements for you at our special Parent Booster legal reduced rates.

PBUSA members should attach the PBUSA IRS exemption letter and group determination letter to their state sales tax exemption applications.  You may also want to attach a copy of your PBUSA membership certificate.  If your state's form asks if your group is a local chapter or affiliate of a national tax-exempt group you should answer yes.

If you or your state has any questions, please let us know. We are here to help.
