Legal Issues of School Booster Clubs:
3 Things Every School Administrator Should Know
For School Superintendants and Principals

With school budgets being cut, fundraising support from school booster clubs – PTOs, athetic, music, academic and other groups – is becoming increasingly important.   Commonly, however, school administrators are unaware of how to work with booster clubs to achieve the best results.

This workshop will assist school admistrators to ensure that booster clubs supporting their school programs are operated legally and effectively, including:

1) How booster clubs should be legally structured;
2)
The financial controls booster clubs should have in place; and,
3)
Why booster clubs need to be recognized as 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charities.

The workshop will be presented by Sandra Pfau Englund, an attorney with over 20 years experience working with schools, nonprofit organizations and school booster clubs.  The workshop, intended for school superintendants and principals, also will provide time to connect with your peers to discuss common issues and concerns about working with booster clubs.

Upcoming dates:

Addie's Restaurant, 11120 Rockville Pike
